This committee works hard to plan a Spring trip, open to all Extra Muros members. Those who join this committee will spend their time thinking of fun and affordable destinations to visit, coming up with academic and non-formal activities, booking accommodations, and creating budgets. The Study Trip Committee is one of the most rewarding committees in Extra Muros, creating an unforgettable experience, but also one with a responsible and diverse work.
“As the head of the committee, I had a great opportunity to develop organizational skills and at the same travel and meet other LAS students, through 3 countries & 9 days of an unforgettable experience” (Domagoj, 3rd year student)
Do you love traveling and want a new experience and some extra spice to your student life?
The Trip Committee is one of many possible ways of getting involved in your study organization Extra Muros. This committee is dedicated to arranging interesting, fun and motivating trips. All in line with your studies. The trip is an extension to what you study in your Liberal Arts and Sciences program; visiting historically important places is mixed with meeting the culture of the current location. Taking part in the trip not only gives you greater experience of the various cultures in Europe and beyond, but it also gives you the opportunity to make great friends amongst your fellow students. This year we hope to engage you in the upcoming trip that will take place during the spring semester of 2018.
In 2017, the destination was chosen by the votes of students and we went to Hungary, Croatia, and Slovenia, exploring the influence of communism on the development of countries. Through sightseeing of 5 cities, we have visited places such as museums, war memorials, national park, the seaside, and a cave. From nightlife stories to interesting landmarks, people and cultural experiences, study trip offers a unique experience each year, definitely paying off the effort and time spent organizing it.
