The First Casino Night.. How did it go?
Wednesday the 16th of November our precious Extra Muros organized its first Casino Night in the cozy room of the “Philip” bar. The nice and friendly environment stimulated our fellow classmates to play the whole evening Poker and Blackjack. However, it didn’t start off that smoothly….
First of all, not everybody knew the rules of the games, thus one of the members of the Social Activities Committee (namely, Igor) was requested to explain the rules and after a couple of minutes of struggling players got the sense of the game. Moreover, sometimes they were arguing with the croupier of Blackjack Table about the rules. Weird, but it is true! Moreover, the most crazy bets were there too, since some players were putting at the risk all of their chips and surprisingly won a couple of times. However, not everybody was lucky, that is why for some ladies and gentlemen the game was over after approximately 30 minutes.
In meanwhile, Ara (a first year student) played several nice songs on his guitar and this background music gave an impression that the Casino Night took place actually somewhere in a real Casino.
Finally, after two hours of intense games the first Casino Night got his first winner and it was 3rd year Liberal Arts Student Jan, who could gain the highest amount of chips on the Poker table. Our winner was immediately awarded with beer and our fellow student kindly shared his award with everybody there.
Needless to say, that cozy room, nice music and drinks, made this evening unforgettable for everybody there.
Since this evening was pretty successful, there is a hope that the “Extra Muros Casino Nights” will become a new Liberal Arts and Sciences tradition.
Greetings,
Hayk on behalf of the PubCom
